Ecuador has 27 airports, 5 of which receive international flights. The remaining 22 air stations serve flights within the country. All airports are located near major population centers. They serve Quito, Guayaquil and other cities.

When preparing to travel, it will be useful to study the list of the country's largest air terminals:
- Mariscal Sucre. The busiest airport in Ecuador. Annually, it serves more than 5 million passengers. It is located 18 km from the center of the city of Quito - the capital of the state.
- Jose Joaquin de Olmedo. The second largest airport in Ecuador. It is located 5 km north of the city center of Guayaquil. The air terminal is able to serve about 3.7 million passengers per year.
- Seymour. The third major airport of the country. It is known as the first "green" air terminal as it utilizes many environmental innovations. The air terminal is located on the island of Baltra and serves the Galapagos Archipelago. Its annual passenger traffic is about 500,000 people.
