Skiing requires a great deal of skill. No one in their right mind would head to the red slopes without at least knowing the basics of alpine skiing. Therefore, if you want to learn quickly and avoid risking your health in the future, it is advisable to turn to instructors.
In Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, ski lessons are offered in several large schools, where hundreds of instructors work. More than 300 professionals are ready to help you master the technique. Since there are also kids’ clubs here, children can be taught the basics as well, and equipment is easy to rent on site.
If you come with a very young child and do not plan to put them on skis, Chamonix offers nurseries and kindergartens for children from one year old. The cost of care starts at about 40–60 EUR for half a day (meals are paid separately). Ski training is available at the central school, which employs more than 200 instructors.
There are both group sessions and private lessons. A group can have up to 6 people. If you have children aged 3 to 12, their lessons take place on slopes specially designed for beginners.
