How to get to Paris from airports

Learn how to get from Paris airports to the city center, train or bus station: modes of transport, their costs and where to buy a ticket.

Charles de Gaulle International Air Terminal is located 25 kilometers from Paris. It is the country's main air terminal and the second largest in Europe. The airport's annual passenger traffic is more than 60 million people.

Orly Airport is located 14 kilometers from the city and performs, for the most part, domestic transportation. The airport receives more than 32 million passengers annually.

The Beauvais airport is located 90 kilometers from the city. It is not a very large airport with a passenger traffic of more than 3.5 million people per year.

How to get to the center of Paris from Charles de Gaulle airport

From the airport, you can get to the city by public transportation, cab, shuttle or rent a car. The journey by car will take you no more than 35 minutes.

Charles de Gaulle International Airport

Train (RER)

The easiest way to reach the city is by regional train (RER). You can find all the necessary information about train schedules on the website. The train will take you to the following stations: Denfert–Rochereau, Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame, Gare du Nord, Châtelet – Les Halles.

  • Where to find it: you can access the station from Terminal 3; it’s located inside the Roissypole building.

  • Travel time: 50 minutes.

  • Operating hours: every 10–20 minutes from 04:56 to 23:56.

  • Ticket price: EUR 11.80 for adults, EUR 8.80 for children. Kids under 4 travel for free. Tickets can be purchased at vending machines at the station.

Useful tips:

  • Check the schedule regularly — it changes quite often.

  • Don’t forget to buy your ticket before boarding.

  • Trains can get crowded, so keep an eye on your valuables.

Bus

Travelling by bus isn’t very convenient, but it’s cheap. Check the bus timetable on the website. To reach the city centre:

  • Take the Roissybus line — it goes directly to the Opéra Garnier.

  • You can also take buses No. 351 (to Porte de la Chapelle) or No. 350 (to Place de la Nation). These routes take a bit longer as they make several stops along the way.

  • At night, you can use routes N140 and N143.

The bus stop is located near the exits of Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Note that the night bus N140 stops only near Terminal 3.

  • Travel time: 1 hour 20 minutes.

  • Where to buy tickets: from the driver. If you choose Roissybus, tickets must be purchased at the airport ticket office — on board they cost 1 EUR more.

  • Operating hours: from 05:33 to 04:00 every 20 minutes.

  • Ticket price: EUR 13. Children under 4 travel for free. Cash only. No charge for luggage.

Transfer

Taxi

You can conveniently reach the city center by taxi. Taxis are available near the terminal exit. The airport operates official taxi services:

Car rental

How to Get to Paris Bus and Train Stations from Charles de Gaulle Airport

  • To the Eastern (Paris Gare de l'Est) and Northern (Gare du Nord) train stations, you can take bus No. 350.

  • To Montparnasse Train Station (Gare Montparnasse) and Lyon Train Station (Gare de Lyon), you can take the Les Cars Air France bus (Line 4), which stops at Terminal 1.

  • To the Bus Station (Gallieni), take bus No. 351. You should get off at the Gallieni Metro stop.

Paris Orly Airport

Train

The high-speed train Orlyval will quickly take you to RER Antony station, where you can transfer to the RER B line to Gare du Nord. The route is as follows: Airport — Antony — Denfert-Rochereau — Châtelet – Les Halles — Gare du Nord.

  • Where to find: the Orlyval station is located near the exit of the South Terminal and close to the arrivals hall of the West Terminal.

  • Travel time: approximately 35–40 minutes (including the transfer).

  • Schedule: every 10 minutes from 06:00 to 23:00.

  • Fare: combined Orlyval + RER B ticket — 15.40 EUR. Tickets can be purchased from machines at the station.

Tram

You can also reach the city by tram No. 7. It runs along the route: Airport — La Fraternelle — Porte de Rungis — La Belle Épine — Augusta Perret — Moulin Vert — Villejuif Louis Aragon (connection with metro line 7).

  • Where to find: the tram stop is located near Exit D of the South Terminal.

  • Travel time: about 30 minutes.

  • Schedule: from 05:30 to 00:30 every 8–15 minutes.

  • Fare: 2.10 EUR. Tickets are available from vending machines at the station.

Bus

From Orly Airport to Paris, you can take Orlybus (to Denfert-Rochereau station), as well as buses No. 183 (to Porte de Choisy metro station) and No. 91.10 (to Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines train station).

  • Where to find: No. 183 departs from the South Terminal, No. 91.10 from the West Terminal, and Orlybus from Exit L of the South Terminal.

  • Travel time: No. 183 — about 50 minutes, No. 91.10 — about 35 minutes, Orlybus — around 30 minutes.

  • Schedule: No. 183 — from 06:00 to 21:00 every 40–50 minutes; No. 91.10 — from 05:30 to 21:00 (from 06:00 on weekends); Orlybus — from 05:00 to 00:30 every 15 minutes.

  • Fare: No. 183 — 2.10 EUR, No. 91.10 — around 2 EUR, Orlybus — 11.20 EUR.

The Beauvais-Tillé train station is located about 5 kilometers from the airport. You can reach it by bus No. 12. From the station, the TER Beauvais–Paris train departs for the Gare du Nord in Paris.   • Where to find: Bus No. 12 departs from the stop near Terminal 2 and goes to Beauvais train station.

  • Travel time: about 1 hour 15 minutes by train, 20–25 minutes by bus to the station.

  • Operating hours: trains run from 06:30 to 20:30 approximately every 30–60 minutes.

  • Fare: train — around 15 EUR, bus No. 12 — about 1 EUR.

Shuttle Bus

The most popular and convenient way to get from Beauvais Airport to Paris is the official shuttle bus, which departs after every Ryanair flight and arrives at the Pershing parking area near the Porte Maillot metro station.

  • Where to find: Shuttles depart directly from the exits of Terminals 1 and 2 (follow the “Paris Bus” signs).

  • Travel time: approximately 1 hour 15–30 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Operating hours: buses depart after each Ryanair arrival and departure; intervals are around every 20–30 minutes.

  • Fare: 17 EUR one way when purchased online, 18 EUR when bought on site. Tickets are available on the official airport website or directly from the driver.
