Unfortunately, affordable accommodation in Paris is available only in hostels or hotels located on the outskirts of the city.
The average cost of accommodation in the first nine districts of Paris ranges from 120 to 180 EUR per night. The most expensive options are near the Louvre, in the Saint-Germain district, and along the Champs-Élysées — where the average nightly rate is around 240–260 EUR.
A more budget-friendly option is to stay in hotels located in business areas, such as the local “Manhattan,” La Défense, where you can book a spacious room in a modern building for 100–130 EUR. The cheapest accommodation is found in hostels: in Paris, prices start from around 30 EUR in the low season and from 45 EUR in the high season. The most popular hostels include Young and Happy, Aloha, Le Village, and Woodstock.
By the way, if you’re not sure which district a particular hotel is located in, pay attention to its address — it always includes a five-digit postal code, such as 75010. The last two digits indicate the arrondissement number.
