Kutaisi David the Builder International Airport is located 20 kilometers from the city. The airport is popular with low-cost airlines. The airport cannot boast such a favorable location as the air stations in Batumi or Tbilisi, but airfares here are noticeably lower and this makes up for the inconvenience.
Getting to the City Center

There are minibuses operated by "Georgian Bus" that run from the airport to the city center. The minibuses have 5 seats, but in reality, they often carry more passengers. The bus goes directly to the city center without any stops.
Where to find: The bus stop is located on the right side of the airport exit. You will see a blue sign with the inscription "Georgianbus" at the bus stop.

Shared Taxi
You can catch a shared taxi on the highway near the airport. The taxi stand is located next to the airport, and you don't need to cross the road. You can stop any shared taxi and ask the driver if they are going to Kutaisi. Since there are no specific numbers for the routes, you will have to rely on luck.
Ask the driver about the fare (around 4-5 GEL).
Transfer
The official transfer service in Kutaisi is provided by Go Trip. When you book this service, a driver will meet you at the airport with a name sign. You can also choose the car model and request a child car seat if needed.
Price: Starting from 25 GEL for an economy-class car with a Russian-speaking driver.
Taxi
It is best to order a taxi online from Taximaxim. The airport provides free internet access, so you will be able to place an order without any problems. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the A2B carrier on the airport premises, but it will be more expensive.

Car Rental
If you plan to travel extensively in Georgia, it is recommended to rent a car. You can do this either at the airport, at rental company offices, or online, for example, on the website avtoprokat.ru.

Kutaisi Bus Station: The bus station in Kutaisi is located at the intersection of Chavchavadze and Zviad Gamsakhurdia avenues, near the Kutaisi 2 railway station (which is currently not operational).
Kutaisi Railway Station: Kutaisi 1 railway station is located in the city center.
