Kutaisi is a small city in which public transport is represented by buses and shuttles. However, there is another interesting representative of Kutaisi transport - the cable car.
The fare on public transport is low: a bus fare costs 0.3 GEL, and a shuttle bus fare 0.4 GEL. Listen to the advice of tourists visiting Kutaisi: change GEL into tetri (1 GEL = 100 tetri) in advance and don't try to take a ride on public transport "without a ticket", because if the passenger control finds you without a ticket you will have to pay a fine. The bus (and minibus) number 1 runs in the city center.
Another important thing is that all the inscriptions on buses and minibuses with the route are made exclusively in Georgian, so be prepared for an adventure on the road, or take a cab.
