In Kardamena itself, there are not many options for children's entertainment, except for water rides and the entertainment program offered by the hotels. But there are plenty in the immediate area.
- Yachting excursion
- The Sponge Factory
- Hippocrates' Platanus
- Lido Aquapark
A yacht excursion to the island of Kalymnos (15 km from Kos) is among the most popular. The excursion program includes a visit to the Marine Museum, where you can see various plants, shells, coral, the remains of a ship of the II century BC with a cargo of amphorae, a German machine gun, fragments of torpedoes and fragments of aircraft from the Second World War.
The next stop is the sponge factoryin the town of Potia. Little SpongeBob fans will learn about how sponges are extracted and processed.
A must-see with children is the Hippocrates Platanus, located at the entrance to the fortress of Neratzia in Kos. The size of the two thousand year old legendary tree amazes adults and children alike - the girth of the sycamore tree is 12 meters!
And, of course, it's worth taking the kids to the capital's Lido water park - 11 water slides with a total length of about 1.5 km will delight anyone!
