The most popular tourist route in Budapest is the Walk through old Pest. It starts from Andrassy Avenue - it's called the "face" of Budapest for a reason! The avenue was built in the XIX century - modernist buildings drowned in greenery, in this part of the city the most expensive apartments, luxury restaurants and boutiques.
From the avenue, turn to Heroes' Square and, if time permits, check out the Museum of Fine Arts. We recommend ending your Budapest itinerary in one of the city's best parks, Varoschliget.
Budapest Waterfront Walking Route - from here you have a good view of both banks of the Danube. You will see the impressive Chain Bridge with stone lions and the Margit Bridge, the world-famous Holocaust memorial and many more masterpieces of urban architecture.
Budapest's "Bathing" itinerary - spend a whole day visiting the city's baths! The largest in Europe Széchenyi Bath with swimming pools and steam rooms, Gellert Bath with a unique art nouveau interior, Kirai (men's days on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), Rudas (this bathhouse is more than 500 years old!), Lukacs Bathhouse and many others. The average cost of a visit is 2500-4000 HUF.
