You can find out where Jimbaran is by looking at the southern part of the island of Bali. Due to the fact that the settlement is located on the isthmus, a small area in the northeast of the peninsula is also part of it. Here you can enjoy not only a romantic atmosphere, but also the freshest seafood.
The exact date when Jimbaran was founded has not been preserved. In the Balinese chronicles it appears in the XV century. After another two centuries on the territory of the settlement existed only residential and household buildings. The economy of Jimbaran made it a typical fishing village. The first beginnings of tourism on the island started in 1920, but they were soon stopped due to the war and Indonesia's struggle for independence.
It was not until 1970 that tourism activity began to recover. To date, the population of Jimbaran is 23 thousand people. The main mass of buildings and residential neighborhoods are located along the coast.
