Another form of public transportation in Capri is the funicular. It connects Marina Grande port with Piazza Umberto. This historic mode of transportation has been operating since 1907 and covers a distance of only 650 meters.
To reach the highest panoramic point on the island, Mount Solaro, from Anacapri, you can take a chairlift.
