Shopping in Vilnius

Shopping centers, markets, outlets and stores in Vilnius - everything you need to know about shopping in this city.

On the Internet, you may find opinions that shopping in Vilnius is not worth doing seriously and that the stores in Vilnius are nothing of the sort. We hasten to debunk the myths: there are as many as six shopping and entertainment centers in Vilnius.

The most popular shopping centers in Vilnius

Akropolis (Address: Ozo g. 25) is the biggest shopping center in Vilnius and, judging by local reviews of shopping in Vilnius, also the most favorite. More than 250 stores are gathered under one roof. Huge assortment of goods, world brands (Next, Zara, Pierre Cardin, Silver Fox, Etam Lingerie, H&M, Ieva Pedkelnes, Mango, Triumph, Ecco, Franco Feruzzi), excellent quality, discount cards (you can buy them at the cash desks for 1.5 EUR) — all conditions for a good mood are created in Acropolis.

Europa (Address: Konstitucijos pr. 7A) has 80 boutiques (Guess, Roze, Patrizia Pepe, Ralph Lauren, Penny Black, etc.). Here you will also find photo studios, pharmacies, travel agencies and the best Japanese restaurant in Vilnius — Miyako.

Ozas (Address: Ozo g. 18) is probably the most favorite shopping center among children. Here is the largest family entertainment center in Lithuania X Planet (more than 50 rides, trampolines, climbing rock and much more). Several times a year shopping center Ozas organizes Shopping Marathon, which lasts 48 hours, when it is quite realistic to get a discount of up to 80%. The approximate time of the event is May and November.

Paying 3.50 EUR per play hour (or 5.40 EUR for unlimited stay), you can leave your child under the supervision of animators. Besides, there are about 250 boutiques of promoted brands, as well as rarer brands, which are not often found in other stores (Peek & Cloppenburg, Ma Cherie, Sisley). A special VIP Shopping discount card has been created for foreigners making a shopping tour to Vilnius. You can get it by presenting your passport and filling out an application form.

Panorama (Address: Saltoniškių g. 9) — here you can find the most famous brands (Levi's, Guess, Baltman, Mosaic, Salamander), as well as branded boutiques (Chicco, Lego, Mothercare).

VCUP (Address: Upės g. 9) is the oldest shopping center in Vilnius (more than 35 years). Today it includes more than 150 stores, as well as a popular billiard club Free ball.

Outlets

And, of course, don't forget about PARKAS OUTLET (Address: Verkių g. 29) — an outlet in Vilnius, where you can buy products of world brands with 70% discount. There are no outlet stores near Vilnius yet, so don't give up the Tax free system — most of the major stores in the city issue VAT refund checks.

Markets

In addition to Vilnius stores, tourists are also attracted to markets, especially Gariunai. This is not a bad option for budget shopping, as the prices at the markets are oriented towards locals rather than tourists. Gariunai is considered to be one of the largest markets in Eastern Europe. It is located in the suburbs of Vilnius and attracts a large selection of clothes and low prices. There is also an automobile market here.

Supermarkets

Vilnius also has a wide network of supermarkets (Maxima, Rimi, Prizma, etc.). Many of them offer bonus cards (Maxima) or customer cards (Prizma), which makes shopping in Vilnius more favorable.

Sales

Sales take place at the end of each season. Many locals often save their shopping for these periods. But the biggest discounts can be expected on Christmas Eve, in the second half of December. At this time, the sales include not only ordinary goods like clothes, shoes and cosmetics, but also household appliances. So shopping can be really profitable.

And after the sales, you can find very favorable prices in stock stores, where all unsold items from past collections go.

Opening hours of shopping centers

The opening hours of major shopping centers are from 10am to 10pm daily. Ordinary stores in Vilnius work from 8:00 to 23:00 (alcoholic beverages are sold until 22:00). And markets mostly work from dawn (from 4-6 am) until lunch (2-4 pm), Monday is a day off.
