Novy Bar has almost no beaches - most of the coastline here has been turned into a pier for ships and ferries. The only exception is the large sand and pebble beach in the center, Topolica (equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, sports fields and changing rooms).
It stretches from the main port to the river Železnica (although the beach is carefully maintained, the proximity of industrial facilities affects the water quality). For a full-fledged seaside vacation, we recommend going to one of the beaches of the so-called Bar Riviera - there are about a dozen of them.

Crvena Plazha, or Red Beach, is famous for its fine red sand, and this coastline features many small coves and lagoons.
A few kilometers from Bar is the most famous beach in all of Montenegro - Big Beach, which stretches for 13 km from Ada Bojana to Ulcinj. It's always bustling with Russian-speaking tourists, offering a wide range of cafes, restaurants, catamaran rentals, and scuba diving. It's suitable for family vacations with children in Bar, as babysitting services are available on the beach.
Kraljeva plaža is a rather "wild" beach surrounded by picturesque steep cliffs (accessible only by sea). It provides showers, toilets, sunbeds, and umbrellas. Another relatively secluded beach on the Bar Riviera is Maljevik, a cozy pebble beach with cypress trees.
In the suburbs of Bar, specifically in the Shušanj district, you'll find Zukotrlica Beach (Žukotrlica). It has a pebble surface, numerous fast-food outlets, cafes, and parking.
The Utjeha Beach (Utjeha), located between Bar and Ulcinj, is often frequented by divers. In this area, several freshwater springs flow into the sea, creating several deep hollows that give the water a bright turquoise color.
