The tourist season in Bar lasts from mid-April to early November. It has a typical Mediterranean climate: prolonged dry summers, mild winters with frequent rains (up to 40 rainy days per season). In the area around Lake Skadar, Bar's climate and nature take on continental characteristics, with strong fluctuations in daytime and nighttime temperatures.

There is no pronounced rainy season in Bar - the maximum amount of precipitation falls fairly evenly, from the second half of November to early April. One of the characteristic features of Bar's climate is its health-improving effect. The air here is extremely saturated with iodine and pine vapors, so vacation in Bar is often recommended for children and adults suffering from respiratory diseases.

Underwater world

All of Bar's most interesting wildlife is concentrated in the sea - not without reason this resort is considered the main diving center of Montenegro. The characteristic vegetation of Bar is conifers (pines, junipers and cypresses) and olive trees.
