City Transportation
The primary mode of public transportation in Bar is buses. The bus routes in the city connect the central area with the suburbs and surrounding areas. Buses typically operate with intervals of approximately one hour.
The fare for public transportation in Bar, much like in many other coastal towns in Montenegro, is 1 EUR. You can either pay the fare directly to the bus driver or purchase a ticket in advance from a newsstand. Since the city is relatively small, public transportation is not as extensively used. However, intercity transportation is more developed in Bar, allowing you to travel to various destinations across Montenegro. The ticket prices for intercity routes range from 1.5 to 6 EUR (plus an additional insurance fee of around 0.50 EUR when purchasing a ticket at the ticket office).
