The resort is divided into Old and New Budva. Most hotels and beaches are within a 10-15 minute walk, so you can easily find your way to the sea without needing a map of Budva.
In the Old Town (at Njegoševa br., 28, and in the municipality building), you'll find permanent tourist information centers. During the "high season," they also operate at the Budva bus station and in the business center across from the Lugovi Stadium. These locations offer free maps of Budva, including hotel maps, brochures about the resort, and other essential information.
Budva boasts several neighborhoods considered ideal for living:
- Podkošljun: Located on the opposite side of the Old Town, this quiet area is close to the sea. It features a substantial private housing sector, offering more affordable rental options compared to the central Budva. However, the local infrastructure is still developing.
- Gospostina: Surrounded by greenery and adjacent to the historic part of the resort, Mogren and Richard's Head beaches are nearby. This area is relatively peaceful, with stores and attractions within walking distance.
- Rosino and Dubovica: These neighborhoods are convenient for travelers planning to visit other cities, thanks to their proximity to the bus station. They offer plenty of stores, cafes, and tourist facilities. It's worth noting that in Dubovica, it's advisable not to settle too far from the bakery to avoid a strenuous journey to and from the beach.
For party enthusiasts, the ideal place to stay is in the vicinity of the Slovenski Beach hotel complex. This area is close to the sea and the Old Town, offering numerous discos, cafes, and restaurants. Keep in mind that during July and August, the beach can get extremely crowded.
If you're seeking breathtaking sea and mountain views, consider staying in Babin Do.
Lazi: Located in a "mountainous" area away from the beaches, it can be challenging for both adults and children to climb up here. You can even settle higher up in Vidikovac, which offers stunning views. However, reaching this area can be difficult, either requiring a walk along the main road, a shortcut through private houses on steps, or a potentially expensive cab ride in the summer.
