Kranska Gora

The history of Kranjska Gora dates back to the 1st century BC, when the present-day territory of the spa area belonged to the province of Pannonia and belonged to the Roman Empire. Already in the 4th century, Slavic tribes settled there, which later created a powerful state that existed until 745. After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the territory of Slovenia became part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Slovenes and Croats, and later transformed into Yugoslavia.

Kranjska Gora was founded as a modern ski resort in the second half of the last century, during the tourist boom that hit the Balkans.

The official currency of Kranjska Gora, as well as of the whole Slovenia, is the Euro (EUR). It can be exchanged not only at specialized points and banks, but also at gas stations and large shopping centers. The official language is Slovenian.
