Slovenia is considered to have the lowest crime rate in all of Europe. In the nighttime town of Kranjska Gora you can walk along any street without fearing for your health. If you intend to come here at the height of the tourist season, it is still worth having a photocopy of your passport with you. Valuables and large sums of cash are better left in the hotel safe.
When renting a car, it is better to park it in a guarded parking lot, in close proximity to large hotels. When leaving, do not leave bags, cameras and other valuables in the cabin.
In terms of skiing, the safety of Kranjska Gora is top-notch. All slopes are marked accordingly, instructors and rescue service are systematically on duty. The elevators are regularly checked to make sure they are in good working order.
