City transportation
The main transportation in Marbella is the city buses. The city has a total of seven bus routes (Line 1 to Line 7) during the day and four at night (Nocturno). There is constantly updated information about routes, fares and schedules on the website of the municipal transportation company CTSA. Here are the approximate prices for using transportation in Marbella: one trip (Tarjeta Bonobús Ordinario) costs 0.83 EUR (if you buy a ticket from a kiosk or vending machines) and 1.20 EUR (if you buy a Billete Sencillo ticket from the driver or take the night buses).

Tourists familiar with transportation in Marbella recommend buying a Bonobus card for 6.22 EUR (5 EUR on account and 1.22 EUR per card), with the option to top it up as needed. By the way, from Marbella bus station you can travel to any part of Andalusia, as well as Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia - tickets are on sale at the ticket office at the station.
Another popular form of public transportation in Marbella is the cab. Taxis are usually booked by phone or found in parking lots marked with a blue sign with a "T" on it (a free car will have a sign that says "libre"). The fare is paid according to the meter, and the night fare is valid from 22:00 to 8:00 (+20%).
