Besides the clubs and parties, Ibiza is famous for its historically significant sites, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The island's castle, a 12th-century military fortress built during Arab rule, is worth a visit. Nowadays, on the territory of the historical site there is an archaeological museum with various exhibits found on the island.
In Ibiza you can also admire the Renaissance architecture: the necropolis of Puig des Molins, the Phoenician ruins of Sa Caleta and the Monuments of the Old Town (Dalt Vila), and in San Antonio Abad the architecture of its small churches.
Underwater enthusiasts can visit another San Antonio-Abad attraction, the natural grotto Aquarium Cap Blanc. The cave, with its natural pool of island marine life, is a half-hour walk from the famous Cafe Del Mar.
