A transit train from the Sattahip region to the capital's Hua Lampong in Bangkok makes a stop at Pattaya Central Railway Station on weekdays.
This train is a budget option to get to the capital. Inside, the carriage resembles a simple electric train. Air conditioning and other amenities, unfortunately, are not provided. The carriage is usually not overcrowded.
Cost is 31 THB per person. You can't buy tickets in advance as the ticket office opens half an hour before departure.
Travel time. The journey to Bangkok takes about 4 hours.
Operation schedule. Arrival time on the platform of Pattaya station is 10:21. The return train from Bangkok leaves at 06:55, and goes to Sattahip. It arrives at Pattaya Railway Station at 10:34.

From the center of the resort to Pattaya Railway Station, you can get to Pattaya Railway Station by Songteo for 30-50 THB, or by cab.
If you live in the Jomtien area, you can leave for Bangkok from Pattaya Tai Railway Station. Trains don't stay here for long as it's just a stop at the platform.

Where to buy a ticket. Just like at the central train station, you buy tickets when you board the train.
