Where to stay with a child in Phuket
The most common places to stay with children are in the areas of Karon, Kata Beach, Bang Tao, and Surin. It's quiet, has small pharmacies, stores and it takes 15-20 minutes to get to the big supermarkets.
Phuket has many hotels geared toward guests with younger travelers:
These hotels have babysitting, doctor (nurse) services, children's menu options and appropriate furniture.
In the island's restaurants and bars for children, you can order the usual European dishes or ask for Thai dishes without the traditional spicy spices. Famous chain eateries like McDonald's or KFC are also common on the island.
Definitely do not choose hotels near the following beaches for a family vacation with children:
- Ravai
unsuitable due to rocky entrance, lack of sand. This stretch of coastline is favored by local fishermen;
- Patong
with a fairly muddy sea near Bangla Road. This place is suitable for single bachelors because of the large number of noisy nightclubs;
- Nai Harn
where infrastructure is poorly developed (for example, there are almost no pharmacies and stores).
In general, vacationing in Phuket with a child is a great idea for the winter season. There is everything here to please young travelers.
