From Bangkok
There are three ways to get from Bangkok to Phuket Island: bus, train, airplane.
Train
The journey from Bangkok's Hualamphong railway station to the small village of Surat Thani takes about 12 hours. This is followed by a bus transfer and another 4 hours directly to Phuket. The only advantage of this option is the opportunity to sleep in comfortable conditions in the train car. But the transfer will take considerably longer.

Travel time is about 16 hours.
Bus
To get from Bangkok to Phuket, you can catch a bus at the Southern Bus Terminal or Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit) buses. Most transportation is air-conditioned and has comfortable seats. Flights tend to be night flights, starting at 17:00.
The cost of tickets is from 600 THB.
Travel time is up to 12 hours.
Airplane
The quickest and most comfortable way to cover the distance between Bangkok and Phuket is by airplane. In Thailand, it is better to book tickets in advance, so they are cheaper (there is no such thing as a hot ticket).
The flight may belong to the relatively expensive Bangkok and Thai Airways or the Asian low-cost carriers Air Asia, Nok Air, and Orient Thai.
Tickets cost between THB 1,000 and THB 2,000.
Travel time is not more than an hour.
From Pattaya
Bus
To get to Phuket Island from Pattaya, the easiest and fastest way is to use the services of Pattaya Sawasdee Tour and buy bus tickets. Its office is located at the intersection of North and Third Streets. Most flights start from 17:00. The distance between Phuket and Pattaya is 800 kilometers.
If you want to see the capital on the way to Phuket, you can first get to Bangkok and change to a bus to the island there. This way will cost 130 THB more and take 2 hours longer.

Travel time is 13 hours.
Airplane
The quick and convenient way to get from Pattaya to Phuket Island is by air. The nearest air station is 40 minutes from the center of Pattaya and is called Utapao. Alternatively, there are two air stations in Bangkok, which can be reached from Pattaya in an hour and a half.
Ticket price is from 2000 THB.
Travel time is 1 hour and 15 minutes.
From Samui
Airplane
Bangkok Airways operates unique flights from Koh Samui to Phuket, keeping the cost quite high.
Tickets are priced from 3000 THB.
Flight time is less than 40 minutes.
Bus
To travel between Koh Samui and Phuket, take a combination of buses to the nearest pier (Nathon or Surat Thani) and then a ferry to the island.
Price. The whole trip will cost from 600 THB.
Trip time is up to 9 hours.
From Krabi
To get from Krabi to Phuket Island, you can take a bus. Alternatively, there are scheduled ferries running between the islands.
Travel time. The journey will take 2 hours.
Cost is from 150 THB.
From Lanta
Like from Krabi, Lanta is accessible to Phuket by ferry or bus.
Travel time. The journey takes about 5 hours.
The cost of tickets is from 500 THB.
From Phi Phi Phi
From Phi Phi Phi Phi island to Phuket can be reached exclusively by ferry. Tickets are purchased either directly from Tonsai Pier or from travel agencies located in Phi Phi Phi. Water transportation runs 2 to 4 times a day.
Price. A ticket costs from 300 THB.
Travel time. The journey takes 2 hours.
