There's not a lot of entertainment in Vungtau. If you're going for a new experience, you'll have enough for no more than 2-3 days. A week's vacation can be supplemented by sightseeing, of which there are many. Entertainment for children in Vungtau is very little. There is a water park and cable car, which leads to the amusement park in Vungtau. For the rest of the experience you have to go to Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon), which is a two-hour drive from the resort.
Adult activities in Vungtau include a good kitesurfing school. There is also an inexpensive and good golf club. Adults are also encouraged to check out the dog races, which are held every weekend at the local stadium.
But Vungtau's nightlife is sparse. Vungtau's nightclubs are there, but they are few and operate mostly in a karaoke format.
