Events and entertainment in Leh

Find out what competitions are taking place at the resort and what else there is to do in Leh.

Although Lech doesn't have a lot of attractions worth going for, there's plenty to keep you entertained. And even if you've come to the most fashionable resort in the Alps for the wonderful and challenging pistes, there's plenty to do besides.

For example, in early December, when the season opens, there is a colorful multimedia show based on the best European and world musicals. Every month Lech hosts a night torchlight procession, an incredibly colorful show with night skiing.

For kids, there's a carnival in the center of town, and theatrical performances to celebrate Christmas. Lech has a brass band that performs an end-of-year concert. In January, Giuseppe Verdi's operas are performed here as part of the Verdi on Snow festival, and music lovers come from all over Europe.

Ski competitions in Lech

Arlberg Ski Club week is at the end of January for members and those who want to join.

In February, there's a big festival that rattles from Lech to Zurs.

Competitions are held in Leh on a regular basis. Masters of skiing and snowboarding show their skills on the slopes of Arlberg, the cradle of Alpine skiing. Among the most famous non-skiing events is the international triathlon competition Mountain Trophy, held here in April.

The closing of the season in the same month takes the form of a big spring festival with songs, dances, performances and productions, competitions and Austrian food.

A list of events can be found on the pageof the resort's official website.
