Entertainment in Sölden

Selden's fun, upbeat character attracts many people of all ages. The town has plenty of places to relax après ski and have fun. Entertainment venues start after 3pm and don't close until 2-4am.

Downtown is noisy and fun in the evenings, with bells jingling and ice bars where people dance with their shoes on the tables. The most popular establishments in the center of Sölden are the Bla-Bla ice bar, the Beer Sky Café, the Avalanches and Siegloo nightclubs and the Etzi bodega.

If you're not a fan of the trendy party scene, you'll always find something fun to do. The city has a five-kilometer toboggan run. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are one of the popular entertainment shows in the city. The entertainment centers have several indoor rinks for ice hockey and ice skating.

Every Friday during the high season, from December 31 to April 29, the Giggijoh fan zone hosts parties with live music. The season ends with a festival on the glaciers.

In summer, the city attracts mountaineering and hiking enthusiasts, as well as hang gliding, rock climbing, paragliding and go-karting.

Selden hosts international skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing competitions every year.

A great spectacle is the annual Hannibal show, which commemorates the warlord's crossing of the Alps. In season, ski instructors perform a weekly nighttime torchlight descent that attracts many visitors to the town.

The highlight of the resort are the 3 peaks that are over 3 kilometers high - Gaislachkogl (3058 m), Tiefenbachkogl (3250 m) and SchwarzeSchneide (3340 m). They are called the Big 3. These peaks have observation decks and excellent panoramic restaurants.
