Elevators in Sölden

One of the positives in Sölden is the modern, safe and high-speed ski elevator system. The total capacity of the elevators amounted to about 66 thousand people per hour. There are 19 chairlifts, 8 rope tow elevators and 7 gondola and funicular elevators operating on the resort slopes.

Since December 2010, the resort has put into operation two new elevators leading to Gaislachkogl. The first part of the elevator is an 8-seat single-channel line with a capacity of 3,600 people per hour. Next is a three-runway elevator - the highest elevator of this type in the world.

One of the important nuances in the resort is the location of the elevators at the edges of the slopes. Skiing "to the door" will only be possible if you are staying in Hochzelden.
