Metropolitan
Metropolitan (34.6 km, with 23 stations) operates from 6:00 to 24:00. Trains depart every 5 minutes. The red line runs from the center (Icari Sahar station) to the outskirts (HaziAslanov station). You can change to the green line at Cafar Cabbarli station (railway station). The fare for the metro is 0.05 AZN, and you can purchase a plastic card at the entrance.
Buses
Buses are the most economical form of public transportation in Baku. There are numerous bus stops, all equipped with electronic boards for schedules. The fare is 0.2 AZN, and you pay for the fare when exiting the bus; there are no conductors or turnstiles.
Taxi
Local taxis in Baku are known as "eggplants" due to their purple color, although they resemble London cabs to some extent. The pricing is as follows: a 1 AZN boarding fee and 0.6 AZN per kilometer. Tourists should carry cash because, despite the comfort level similar to London taxis, you cannot pay with a credit card in "eggplant" cabs. Private cab drivers may be cheaper but less comfortable.
