Albena, in fact, is not a city. There are no local residents here except for hotel employees and other resort staff. Essentially, Albena is a closed cluster of hotels located along the coastline. The resort town is situated within the boundaries of the Baltata Nature Reserve. The hotels rise among the trees, reaching towards the sky from the green thickets.
Albena is the youngest resort in Bulgaria and one of the few cities that were specifically developed for tourism purposes. The first hotels appeared here in 1969. Although the area itself is quite ancient, Greek sailors visited here as early as the 3rd-2nd century BC.
The main attraction of this place is its golden sandy beaches. The seaside of Albena is perfect for a tranquil vacation. There are plenty of opportunities for relaxation along the coast. And for those who want not only to relax but also improve their health, there is the largest balneological center in Bulgaria at the "Dobrudzha" hotel.
For children, Albena provides all the necessary facilities for a complete vacation. The resort offers various activities and active programs for children to enjoy.
