Undoubtedly, the main attraction at the Borovets ski resort remains skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Every week during the winter season, Borovets hosts the ski carnival “Torch Descent” on its slopes.
The torch descent takes place at night, allowing anyone to participate, while an even larger audience can enjoy the spectacular display.
Visitors to Borovets have plenty of opportunities to relax — you can play bowling, billiards, or table tennis, and visit saunas, spas, fitness centers, and gyms.
Photo safaris on the Rila Lakes and sleigh rides are a great way to gain impressions. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Rila peaks from the sightseeing helicopter.
At night the life in Borovets does not stop. Numerous bars and discos are waiting for their visitors. The most popular bars in town are Bonkers, Black Tiger, The Buzz Bar and Harry's. There are nightclubs in the Rila and Samokov hotels.
The town annually becomes the center of folklore festivals and international winter sports competitions. In Borovets are held competitions in alpine skiing, biathlon, freestyle and paragliding.
