Borovets is served by 16 ski lifts of different designs. Their total capacity is around 11,000 passengers per hour. There is 1 gondola lift with a length of 4.8 km. There are also 4 gondola lifts such as Sitnyakovo Express, Yastrebets Express, Markudzik 2 and Martinovy Baraka and rope tow lifts such as Sitnyakovo, Markudzik 1, Markudzik 3, Markudzik 0, Rila, Iglika and Rotata.
The price for ski lifts in Borovets is included in the basic ski pass and depends on the number of days of the pass. Note that the cost also includes accident insurance on the resort’s marked slopes. This insurance covers first aid on the slopes and free transport to the nearest medical facility and is valid only during lift operating hours. Treatment costs are the responsibility of the client.
It is worth noting that, according to tourists and professionals, one of Borovets’ drawbacks is its outdated lift system, which can cause queues during peak times. Lift operations are also frequently halted during bad weather in the season.
All lifts operate from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Evening skiing runs take place from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
