In an effort to attract more tourists to the country, Egyptian authorities have taken a bold and extraordinary step. Besides offering beach and sightseeing tours, they have introduced the possibility of ski vacations in Egypt.

Naturally, it will take several years for Egypt to fully develop as a ski destination, but the initial steps have already been taken. To compensate for the lack of natural snow, the resort has installed modern snow cannons, along with rope tows, chairlifts, tractors, and other necessary equipment.
Furthermore, there are ambitious plans to develop a comprehensive infrastructure on the resort grounds, including a network of hotels and even a dedicated airport.
