To get your bearings on the slopes and downhills in the town, you should use a map of the ski slopes in Breuil-Cervinia. The peculiarity of the region is the fact that there are two resorts. One is Italian - Breuil Cervinia-Valtournenche and the other is Zermatt in Switzerland.
The ski resorts on the Breuil Cervinia map are the highest of all the towns in the Italian region. Populated areas: Breuil Cervinia and Valtournenche are situated at 2050 m and 1524 m respectively. Valtournenche is the administrative centre of the resort and is several times larger than the neighbouring town. There is a regular bus service between the two towns that takes about 15 minutes.
The town itself is densely surrounded by four peaks at once: Monte Rosa, Breithorn, Castore and Matterhorn. Each of them is about 400 metres high.
