The main means of transport in the city is the lifts. These take you to the right slope, downhill run or hotel in the blink of an eye. There are also buses that take you around the resort.
The neighbouring town of Zermatt, in particular, has a reputation for being environmentally friendly. Therefore travel by transport is possible only if the owner of an electric car. The two towns are connected by a regular bus service. In just 15 minutes you can get from one point to the other without any problems.
For the long-distance routes, there are buses to Turin and Milan as well as trains to the nearby Châtillon train station.
