Aquarium
The main attraction for children in Genoa is the largest Аquarium in Italy. It takes about 2-3 hours to explore the nearly 10 square kilometers of tanks housing fish, dolphins, jellyfish, and reptiles. The large pools with sharks, manatees, penguins, and seals are particularly popular.
There are also small aquariums where you can dip your hand and try to touch a tropical fish. The aquarium is located in the Porto Antico area — you can walk there from the Piazza Principe station (10–15 minutes) or take bus No. 1 to the Piazza Caricamento stop. Tickets cost from 26 EUR for adults and from 16 EUR for children. You can order them on the official Aquarium website.
Beach holidays with children
There are not so many entertainments for children in Genoa — with kids it is better to settle in one of the small resort towns of the Italian Riviera, for example, in Bogliasco, Pieve Ligure, Santa Margherita Ligure or Sori, so that you can go swimming every day. There are also beaches in Genoa itself, in the Pegli or Voltri areas, but they are dirty and noisy.
