How to get to Ischia Ponte from the airport

If you are going to travel to Ischia Ponte on your own, investigate all possible routes from the nearest airport to the town's tourist centre.

The nearest airport to Ischia Ponte is in Naples (Capodichino Airport). From there, you can take a taxi or bus (ALIBUS express, costing 3 EUR) to reach the port in Naples.

Children aged 0 to 6 years travel for free on ALIBUS buses. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. If there are two children under 6 years old and only one adult, according to the rules, you should purchase two tickets (one for the adult and one for one child). However, drivers often let children travel for free.

A 3 EUR ticket is valid for 90 minutes, and the journey takes only half an hour. With the same ticket, you can continue your journey from the train station by Naples metro, train, or any other form of public transport.

In Naples, ferries (Targetto, Ferry) and hydrofoils (Aliscafo) depart from the ports of Molo Beverello or Porto di Massa to reach the island.

In addition, ferries and hydrofoils to Ischia also depart from the ports of Mergellina and Pozzuoli. There are also ferry connections to the islands of Procida and Capri.

You can check the ferry schedule here.

The schedule for hydrofoils can be found here.
