Рapallo, a charming town with a history dating back almost a millennium, is located in the bay of the Tigullio Gulf. The resort is adjacent to Genoa and the Cinque Terre National Park. Rapallo is surrounded by cliffs and hills, and from the sea, it appears as if the houses descend down the cliffs to the sea.
Along the coast, Rapallo boasts numerous beaches with golden sand. They are pristine, just like the sea, and equipped to the highest standards. Everything you need is here, from changing cabins to attractions and restaurants. However, most of these excellent services are available at paid beaches, where the entrance fee starts from 15 EUR. On small stretches of free beach areas, there may not even be changing cabins.
A distinctive feature of Rapallo's appearance is the castle built here in the 16th century. This imposing giant beautifully contrasts with the serene resort atmosphere.
The squares and streets of Rapallo also maintain their ancient appearance, which particularly attracts romantically inclined travelers. Like in most historic towns, there is plenty to see here, from temples to museums.
