Transportation in Rapallo
Rapallo has excellent transportation infrastructure, making it easy to travel to other destinations along the Italian Riviera. The town is equipped with a railway station, a bus station, and a port.
The Rapallo railway station is located a few minutes' walk from the waterfront near the old town center. The bus network connects Rapallo with most small towns and villages along the coast and central regions of the country. The A12 motorway passes through Rapallo, providing access to Cristoforo Colombo Airport in Genoa.
Urban Transport
Rapallo's urban transport includes ships and ferries. In addition to trains and buses to neighboring cities, it is possible to reach them by ferry. Specifically, from the port of Rapallo, ferries operate to Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, and San Fruttuoso. From July to September, there is a route to the Cinque Terre National Park. Additionally, on Sundays from May to September, ferries depart to Portovenere and Sestri Levante. Ferries to Sestri Levante also operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July to mid-September. On Fridays in August, there is a ferry service to Genoa.
