Upon learning that swimming is not allowed in the off-season, many tourists likely crossed this option off their list. However, from May to September, the water temperature in the Adriatic Sea is perfect for swimming and water activities. It ranges between +20–25°C throughout the summer, offering a chance to enjoy the azure waves as early as late May.
By the end of the tourist season in October, the Adriatic Sea cools down to around +15°C. In winter, the temperature drops to +10–12°C, making the resort less attractive to tourists.
The highest influx of visitors to Riccione occurs during the summer months, when the sea reaches its warmest and the weather provides steady warmth and sunny days. Thanks to the gentle slope of the shoreline and the absence of sharp depth changes, the local beaches are especially popular with families with children. The calm sea without strong currents makes this resort an ideal spot both for swimming enthusiasts and for those who simply want to relax by the water.
