One of the most advanced in the world, and prices are more than affordable:

• Bus service connects all parts of the city from 5:30 to 24:00. Night Owl buses run on Fridays and Saturdays. The average ticket price is about SGD 1;
• Singapore Metro (SMRT) operates from 6:00 to 24:00. It quickly, comfortably, and economically takes you to any neighborhood, with an average fare of 1 SGD. You can find all necessary information about the stations on the SMRT website;

• Taxis are a publicly available mode of transportation in Singapore. They are metered, and the fares for all four city taxi companies are the same. An average fare around the city will cost between SGD 11 and 17;
• Sentosa Island can be reached using the following options:
  • Sentosa Express for SGD 4;
  • Singapore Cable Car for SGD 26 (or SGD 15 if you have specific conditions).

Transportation Tips for Tourists in Singapore

• Never try to squeeze into transport without queuing; it is considered very indecent here.
• Change is not given on buses; try to pay with exact fare.
• Tourists can use the Singapore Tourist Pass, a contactless payment card, to access all public transportation. The cost is 10 SGD for one day or 16 SGD for two days.
