Water activities in Maspalomas

From Gran Canaria you can travel by ferry to the other islands of the Canary Archipelago. Acciona Trasmediterránea offers a weekly ferry at 14:00, which stops at the ports of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Tenerife (fare 30 EUR, 4 hours journey), Puerto del Rosario on Fuerteventura (fare 33 EUR, 6 hours journey) and the port of Arrecife on Lanzarote (fare 33 EUR, 9 hours journey).

Naviera Armas operates direct ferry services to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (cost 31 EUR, ferry runs two or three times a day from Monday to Friday), Morro Jable on Fuerteventura (cost 43 EUR, ferry departs daily at 07:10), Arrecife on Lanzarote (43 EUR, departure weekdays at 23:50).

The beaches of Maspalomas are ideal for surfing and windsurfing. Depending on skill level, outdoor enthusiasts are accommodated in the Playa de las Burras beach areas of San Agustin, Playa del Inglés and Playa de Maspalomas.

Club Mistral is a windsurfing center. A 6-hour windsurfing lesson costs 140 EUR for an adult and 120 EUR for children. Surfboards, kayaks, windsurf boards and other equipment can be rented here.

Dive Academy Gran Canaria is a diving center. The cost of a dive starts from 46 EUR, 5 dives - 270 EUR. The company picks up tourists from hotels, brings them to the dive site, takes care of organizational issues.
