Rent a car
If you're looking for a fun way to travel around Miami's paradises, rent a car. It's cheaper to book a car online.
Requirements for renting a car:
Keep the speed limit - 120 km/hour on the highway and 50 km/hour in residential areas. There is also an interesting rule: if there are more than two passengers in the car - you have the right to drive in a separate lane (Carpool) - this is how the local government is fighting air pollution. After all, having 4 people in one car is better for the environment than having 4 people in 4 cars.
Cost: from 35 USD per day.
Where to find: Car rental desks are located at the airport or can be booked online at a website (e.g. rentalcars).
Taxi
The parking lot is located at the airport exit. Cabs in Miami are yellow with the classic "checkers" on top. Don't pay attention to carriers who catch naive tourists by offering them a fare for less. Don't be deceived - in most cases, you'll end up paying more.
Cost: from 25 USD (waiting fee of 40 cents per minute). You can pay with both cash and card. Rates: 6.9 USD for the first 1.5 kilometers, and 2.4 USD for each subsequent 1.5 kilometers. In the US, it is customary to tip the cab driver. (15% of the cost).
