Buller's Slopes

Types and difficulty of trails in Buller.

The Australian winter officially lasts from June to September, but the snow cover is ready to receive skiers in mid-May and until the end of October. The resort is located at an altitude of 1,390 meters above sea level. Buller's ski slopes cover 2,300 hectares of terrain and rise to an altitude of 1,790 meters.

There are 28 blue slopes, 19 black slopes, 15 green slopes - a total of 62 slopes. For beginners we recommend the green runs Burnt Hut Spur, Baldy Spur, Bourke Street. Professionals will appreciate the twists and turns of Federation.

Beginner's track

The ski slopes of Buller are served by 27 elevators, of which 8 chairlifts and 14 rope tow elevators. The maximum length of the ski run is 9 kilometers. This is the piste that runs past the Bluff and Mt Stirling mountains.

For snowboarders there is a bodercross, a funpark, a halfpipe and obstacle courses. By the way, the halfpipe, 18 meters wide and 100 meters long, was developed by American specialists. Various international competitions are often held here. The ski slopes on Buller are also open at night. They are illuminated from 18.30 to 22.00.
