Equipment in Hand

Ski rentals are available at four locations in Ruka. In the eastern part you can check out the Piste, where you can find equipment not only by size, but also by level of professionalism. For beginners there is standard equipment, and for professionals - VIP, which can be changed free of charge during the entire rental period. The same services are offered at VuosselinPortti ski and snowboard rentals.

These ski equipment rentals in Ruka have test centers where you can check your equipment and gear, ski pass ticket offices, and used equipment sales. There are also lockers where you can leave your equipment for 6 EUR per day or rent a locker for a week for 30 EUR. A deposit of 10 EUR is charged for the locker key, which is returned in exchange for the key.

Snowboard rentals in Ruka are offered at Sport House, where, in addition to snowboards and skis, there is a huge selection of snowshoes. There are Russian-speaking staff. Head Ski Rent/Head Racing Center also offers equipment.

The rental price depends on the length of the rental and the skier's age. Thus, a set of alpine skis or snowboard for an adult for a day costs 34 EUR, for children and adults over 65 years old - 21 EUR. Rent for 10 days will cost 139 EUR and 83 EUR respectively. Please note that the price does not include helmet and mask.
