Public transportation
Transportation in Ruka is represented by buses and cabs. A SkiBus runs around the resort, where you can ride for free with a ski pass when the elevators are open. Another SkiBus runs between Ruka and Kuusamo. It makes sure to stop near the Kuusamon Tropiikki spa hotel and water park.
Fare
A separate bus takes travelers from Kuusamo Airport to Ruka and back. It costs 7 EUR for an adult and 4 EUR for a child to Kuusamon Tropiikki Hotel. To the center of Ruka it costs 10 EUR and 5 EUR respectively.
It's not very convenient to get around the city in a rented car, and there's not much point. The accommodation is not far from the elevators. But if you rented a car to get to the resort from the airport, you can leave it in a special underground parking lot in the city center. Parking costs 1 EUR per hour or 10 EUR per day.
