If you have not booked a transfer, the only way to reach Deauville from Charles de Gaulle Airport is by train with a connection in Paris.
First, look for signs marked “RER” in the terminal. These are suburban trains. To get to Paris, take line B. The signs will lead you to the railway station (terminus). Tickets can be purchased either at ticket counters marked “Billets Paris et Île-de-France” or at special green ticket machines. Keep in mind that these machines accept only coins and French bank cards. Do not throw away your ticket after passing through the turnstile — you will need it again in the Paris metro.
Then travel to Châtelet–Les Halles station, get off, and transfer to metro line 14. Take the train heading to Saint-Lazare (the last stop). You can view the Paris metro map here.
From Saint-Lazare station, high-speed TGV trains depart for Paris–Deauville–Trouville. A round-trip ticket costs 35–50 EUR (you can book it on the website). Travel time is about 2 hours.
Of course, traveling by train can be rather long and tiring, especially if you have large suitcases. A more convenient and faster option is to take a taxi. The fare from Paris airport to Deauville ranges from 300 to 500 EUR + 5% tip. Always choose official taxis, which are easy to recognize by the sign “TAXI Parisien”.
