The old city of the "Venice of Greece" is very compact, and so much has been written about it in guidebooks that taking a sightseeing tour of Chania often doesn't make sense. Bus Tours
If you want to see all the highlights in one go, you can buy a ticket on a 2-decker open-top tourist bus. It runs from the center, making 12 stops along the way. The trip is accompanied by an audio tour in Russian. In addition to such a "guide", in Chania they give a booklet and a map of the route.
At any of the stops you can get off the bus to see the sights in detail and take beautiful photos. You can continue your bus tour of Chania in 40 minutes by boarding the next bus. Cost of a tour in Chania
Depends on the time of travel. Morning tours start from 10:00 am and last 80-85 minutes. The ticket price is 17 EUR for an adult and 8 EUR for a child. The ticket is valid until 19:30. Afternoon tours start at 14:30 and are cheaper - 10 EUR and 5 EUR respectively. The evening tour "Chania under the Moon" starts at 21:00, lasts 1.5 hours and costs 25 EUR.
In addition, the city offers such exotic sightseeing options as a trip in an ancient horse-drawn carriage (30 EUR) and on a sigway (39 EUR). Among the unusual excursions is the Crete Food Tour (29 EUR). During a three-hour walk you will visit the best cafes, savor local delicacies, learn about the culinary history of the city.
