Chania Airport is named after Ioannis Daskaloyannis and receives tourists flying to Crete. The airport terminal has a passenger turnover of more than 1.5 million people per year.
How to get to the city center
The airport is located 14 kilometers from the city center. You can get to Chania by bus, cab, shuttle or rental car in 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic).
Public transportation
There is little choice of public transportation at the airport - only buses run into the city.
Bus
The bus is the most budget-friendly form of transportation to the city. Its route runs through Agoras Square, 1866 Square and the bus station. Be aware that if your luggage weighs more than 25 kilograms, you may be denied passage.

Fare: An adult ticket costs 2.50 EUR, a student ticket costs 1.90 EUR. There is a 50% discount for pensioners.
