Rhodes Beach is packed with all kinds of water activities. Wakesurfing, wakeboarding, parasailing and water-skiing are all great ways to get your adrenaline pumping. The part of the beach washed by the Aegean Sea is best suited for this (it's windy, which is what you need to conquer the waves). Prices: 10 hours for beginners - 380 EUR, 6 hours for advanced - 264 EUR, every new 2 hours - 88 EUR.
And yet most tourists go for thrills to the beach of Yalissos, which is located 5 km from the capital. However, the peculiarities of the coastline require extreme athletes to be sufficiently prepared. An exception is Prasonisi beach (windsurfing station Prasonisi CenterPrasonisi Center), located on a spit in the southern part of Rhodes. On one side of the beach there is a lagoon with calm water, an ideal place for beginners, on the other side there is a wave spot, a favorite place for advanced surfers. The only disadvantage of this windsurfing station is the excessive number of people in the "high" season, so many surfers move to the north of the island, closer to the resorts of Cremasti and Ialyssos (Ixia Bay).
The advantage of the latter is that the local beaches are for windsurfing only. Ixia Bay is home to the Windsurfers World windsurfing school and the Pro Center Rhodos professional station.
