City Transportation in Jerusalem

Jerusalem's public transportation system is peculiar in that it is divided into two parts: Arab and Israeli.

Buses

The color of public transportation in Jerusalem depends on the service company. Eged has white and green buses with an "X," while the East Jerusalem Bus Company Association has white and blue buses.

Jerusalem has two streetcar lines: the first consists of 23 stops (14 km), the second is still under construction (planned length is 24 km).

Jerusalem has a single fare system for all public transportation. Buy a ticket (price - 5.9 ILS) from the driver or at the bus stop, and you can use any transportation for an hour and a half.

But it's better to buy an electronic card Rav Kav. Refill it for a certain amount (card for an adult, a child, a pensioner), and you can travel as long as you have money in your account.
