The precautions in Jerusalem are the same as in other cities: don't leave personal belongings unattended, cross the street carefully, don't walk alone at night, and carry your wallet in an inside pocket of your clothes.
And, of course, be careful in crowded places. Terrorists, poisonous spiders and snakes abound in Israel.
